BISMARCK, N.D. (KVRR) — The first case of measles for 2026 in North Dakota is reported.
North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services says the confirmed case is in Williams County, located in the northwest part of the state.
HHS says the person was unvaccinated and contracted the measles out-of-state. People who may have been exposed have been notified.
Last year, North Dakota had 36 confirmed measles cases, the first cases confirmed in the state since 2011.
