Plans to reconstruct a section of 13th Avenue South in West Fargo projected to cost $30 million

WEST FARGO, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) — West Fargo City Commission is getting a look at a plan to reconstruct a section of highly traveled 13th Avenue South that will cost $30 million.

City engineers plan to submit a Surface Transportation Block Grant application for partial funding.

The plan is to reconstruct the roadway and replace the storm sewer system between Sheyenne Street and 9th Street East.

A pedestrian underpass will be added connecting two multi-use paths.

Engineers say the road was overlaid with asphalt in 2023 as a temporary fix and the concrete underneath needs replacement.

Construction wouldn’t start until 2030.
