DUBLIN — An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.4 was recorded near the city Friday morning, appearing to continue a swarm of small quakes in the area since late last year.
No damage or injuries were immediately reported as a result of the quake, which according to the U.S. Geological Survey hit about 10:33 a.m., three miles north of the city and about four miles underground.
The quake could be felt in surrounding cities, including San Ramon, where more than 90 quakes with a magnitude greater than 2.0 have been felt since November 9, but none of such size since Jan. 10, officials have said.
The USGS reported another quake, of magnitude 2.0, less than a minute after the larger quake in the same area Friday morning.
This is a developing report. Check back for updates.
